The pet food category is a crowded space — finding a unique voice and brand expression is key to capturing a pet parent’s attention. Born and bred in Hereford, Texas, Merrick has a five-star promise across its expansive portfolio and it needed a fresh take on its marketing and experiential experiences to ensure its mission aligned with its brand.

A pairing of Merrick’s brand red and down-to-earth modern farmhouse aesthetic brought this brand to life. A thoughtfully curated stock photography library allowed for a fresh take on retail and trade show creative to be scaled at large. A mood board was curated to highlight a modern farmhouse aesthetic, vibrant ingredients, and clean but not-so-perfect typography to evoke a hand-painted application. Next, inspiration was applied from the mood board to a key visual. This acted as a formula to ensure all deliverables created as part of this brand refresh could be unique to the asset being created while staying on brand.
